Overview

NV5 Geospatial is actively recruiting a Procurement Analyst. Strong capabilities in tracking expenditures, managing procurement cycles, and ensuring contract compliance with DoD acquisition policies are required. The Procurement Analyst will be based remotely supporting US Southern Command. US citizenship, along with the ability to successfully pass a basic background check for access to US military bases, is required for employment. While no clearance is required, a Secret or higher clearance is preferred.

Work Setting:

    This role offers flexibility in location, with the option to work from any NV5 Regional Office or remotely from home.
  • Potential travel up to 5-15% of the time

Responsibilities

  • Track expenditures, manage procurement cycles, and ensure compliance with DoD acquisition regulations including DFARs and FA.
  • Perform market research to identify cost-effective procurement strategies and recommend optimizations for supply chain efficiency.
  • Administer chargeback arrangements across Work Orders, based on designated funding strategy and contract alignment.
  • Document all chargeback activities in the centralized license and services ledger to support program-wide visibility and audit readiness.
  • Coordinate across all active Work Orders to track, validate, and consolidate software and service license agreements, including GIS tools (ArcGIS Enterprise, GeoAnalytics), data catalogs and data lake services (Databricks, Notebooks, Unity Catalog) , CI/CD platforms (JIRA, GitLab), dashboard/reporting tools, commercial data (Janes, Spire, Vannevar Labs), and cloud infrastructure (GovCloud IL4/IL5 storage and compute).
  • Support budgeting, documentation, and usage monitoring for all chargeback arrangements.


Qualifications

Minimum Requriements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or four (4) years of equivalent experience in procurement analysis.
  • Demonstrated expertise in DFARs and FAR processes for procurement, managing purchase orders, tracking procurement performance metrics, and ensuring budget alignment with operational requirements.
  • Demonstrated experience with acquisition software, federal procurement databases, and financial tracking tools to support compliance with DoD acquisition regulations.
  • Demonstrated experience with cost estimation, contract analysis, and procurement audits.
  • Strong attention to detail and record-keeping skills.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize complex project tasks.

Preferred:

  • Certified Professional Contracts Manager (CPCM) or DoD Financial Management Certification.
  • Portuguese or Spanish language skills.
  • Experience with government IT programs and environments.

Clearance Requirement:

  • None required; Secret or higher preferred.
