About the Opportunity:

As a Cutting Flow Line Tech, you will work independently in the Cutting Department. In the role you will be removing the burr from parts that were Laser cut. You will also be supporting other areas of the facility with Countersinking and Reaming Holes and Marking parts. You will be helping with transactions in Visual Manufacturing (our ERP System) like splitting Work Orders, Receiving parts back from Outside Services, Issuing material and hardware and details. You will be on your feet all day at a workstation, but you will be moving frequently. You may support the Shipping Department if and when needed.

Location: Eastford, CT

This is a full-time role 3:30 PM to 12:00 AM Monday through Friday with occasional weekends.

Responsibilities:

  • Deburr metal details using hand tools to remove burr from machining
  • Countersink and ream holes with hand tools
  • Marking parts using Electronic etch
  • Assemble parts using rivets and nut plates
  • Split Work Orders in Visual
  • Issue Hardware and Details to Work Orders and make the physical and computer transactions
  • Receive Work Orders back into Visual when they return from Outside Services after first shift hours
  • Occasional issuing of raw material in Cutting and helping to process F061 Forms and make the Visual transactions
  • Pre-packing and cutting Packing Slips and Customer Labels in Shipping if and when needed
  • Use Kaizen to flow parts and drive down costs
  • Responsible for accurately completing paperwork relating to counts, scrap, time according to Company policy
  • Performs other related duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Some Mechanical skills
  • Ability to be on your feet all day
  • Ability to use air and electric tools to remove metal
  • Willingness to learn new skills
  • Strong computer skills
  • Self-starter/motivated team player

Physical Requirements:

  • Requires mobility in a manufacturing plant environment while using Personal Protective Equipment.
  • Must be able to frequently stand and walk
