DESCRIPTION OF WORK

In this position, you will serve a vital function in safeguarding property, grounds, facilities, tenants, employees, and the public. Your responsibilities will include enforcing established rules and regulations, managing access to the facility and other restricted areas, and responding effectively to both routine situations and emergency incidents. You will work closely with emergency service providers and local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies. Your professional expertise and sound judgment will be crucial in maintaining the continued safety and security of Fort Indiantown Gap. Interested in learning more? - Full-time employment, 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week
- Work hours are 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch. Your work hours and schedule may change based on operational needs.
- Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- One year of experience as an Armed Installation Security Officer, DMVA (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
- Three years of security, law enforcement, or military experience, including or supplemented by one year of armed experience; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training including or supplemented by one year of armed experience.
Special Requirements:
- You must be in possession of an active motor vehicle license.
- You must obtain active National Crime Information Center (NCIC) certification issued by the Federal Bureau of Investigation within the probationary period and maintain certification for the duration of employment in this job.
- You must obtain active Commonwealth Law Enforcement Assistance Network (CLEAN) and Pennsylvania Justice Network (JNET) certifications issued by the Pennsylvania State Police within the probationary period and maintain certification for the duration of employment in this job.
- You must obtain a Common Access Card (CAC) as issued by the federal Department of Defense within the probationary period and maintain access for the duration of employment in this job.
- You must pass an initial and semiannual weapons qualification.
- You must successfully complete all pre-employment and post-employment requirements in accordance with Army Regulation 190-56, The Army Civilian Police and Security Guard Program.
Additional Requirements:
- You must pass a favorable National Crime Information Center (NCIC) screening for admittance to Fort Indiantown Gap.
- You must maintain firearms, less lethal qualifications and use of force training for the duration of employment in this position.
- You must must maintain First Aid and CPR certification for the duration of employment in this position.
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
Preferred Qualification (not required):
- Act 235 certified or willing to obtain certification within 6 months

- A conditional offer of employment will require a drug screening and a psychological screening.
