Overview
The Human Resources Assistant Manager supports the Manager, Total Rewards & People Operations, with day-to-day operations within the organization. This role involves assisting with employee relations, performance management, employee engagement and ensuring compliance with labor laws and company policies. The Assistant Manager, HR helps coordinate HR activities, supports team supervision, and contributes to implementing HR strategies to enhance workforce productivity and engagement.
Responsibilities
Act as a resource for employee inquiries regarding HR policies, benefits, and procedures.
- Serve as a point of contact for employee relations matters, including conflict resolution, performance concerns, workplace investigations, and policy interpretation.
- Assist in the performance appraisal process by tracking deadlines, coordinating reviews, and providing support to managers in evaluating employee performance.
- Assists managers in the application of HR programs to departmental operations.
- Maintain accurate employee records to ensure compliance with data privacy regulations.
- Prepare HR reports and metrics to support decision-making.
- Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures to ensure compliance with legal requirements and best practices.
- Utilize HR information systems to maintain employee records, generate reports, and track HR metrics.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to support departmental HR needs, enhance organizational effectiveness and employee engagement.
- Supervise non-exempt employees and provide additional training and coaching to ensure everyone performs their jobs efficiently and meets the department's goals.
- Leverages and improves HR processes to drive excellence and capability to deliver value for the business partners, organization, and members. Documents system changes and ensures procedures are up to date.

Qualifications
Education
- Preferred
- 4 Year / Bachelors Degree
Experience
- 6-8
- Well-rounded experience of human resources, employee relations, leaves of absence, total rewards, performance management, employee engagement and federal and state employment laws
- 1-3
- Overseeing human resource operations and human resources staff
Knowledge, Skills & Ability
- Experience in managing a team is preferred.
- Strong understanding of HR practices, employment law, and compliance requirements.
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and ability to work and consult with all levels of employees and management.
- Excellent customer service skills and the ability to work with all levels of employees, including management
- Must have a thorough working knowledge of HR systems, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Must be highly organized and able to work in a deadline-driven, frequently changing environment.

Pay Range
USD $98,577.25 - USD $152,794.75 /Yr.
