Emplify Health is seeking an experienced Manager, Clinical & Business Systems to join our team! The Manager of Clinical and Business Applications will be instrumental in overseeing the implementation and optimization of pharmacy information systems and technologies that advance medication safety, operational efficiency, and regulatory compliance across the Emplify Health System. This role serves as the primary liaison for pharmacy-related projects, facilitating communication and collaboration among pharmacy operations, ITDS, Informatics, Analytics, Information Security, and Infrastructure teams. Partners with stakeholders evaluate, select, and prioritize pharmacy applications and automation solutions based on patient safety, customer service, strategic goals, regulatory requirements, and organizational performance improvement. Provides leadership in developing and executing short- and long-term technology strategies for pharmacy systems, ensuring alignment with enterprise objectives and value creation. Directs and supports assigned personnel, leveraging professional and supervisory discretion and independent judgment to achieve organizational goals. ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES/MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develop and execute the strategic roadmap for pharmacy information systems and Epic Willow applications, ensuring alignment with enterprise financial, clinical, operational, and pharmacy-specific goals. Lead and direct cross-functional teams in the design, implementation, and optimization of pharmacy technology solutions, including automation, dispensing, inventory, and central fill/distribution systems. Establish and maintain standards, processes, and best practices for pharmacy IT infrastructure and business applications to support medication safety, regulatory compliance (including 340b), and operational excellence. Collaborate closely with pharmacy operations, Informatics, Analytics, Information Security, Infrastructure, and other ITDS leaders to deliver integrated solutions that address complex business needs and drive value creation. Assess and continuously improve the current pharmacy technology architecture, identifying opportunities for innovation, efficiency, and risk mitigation. Guide the development of technology roadmaps that anticipate future pharmacy needs and regulatory changes, ensuring readiness for emerging trends and challenges. Ensure all pharmacy IT projects comply with business, clinical, and regulatory standards, including medication management, controlled substance tracking, and 340b program requirements. Oversee pharmacy IT budgets and resource allocation, ensuring optimal support for system maintenance, upgrades, and new initiatives. Engage with business areas, project management, and Agile teams to prioritize pharmacy IT initiatives and contribute creative, business-value ideas to solution development.

What's Available:
1.0 FTE Schedule: Monday-Friday Days Location: Remote eligible position for residents of WI, MN, and IA. However, would require willingness to work onsite as needed for business needs. Occasional travel to the Green Bay, WI area throughout the year as well. Immigration sponsorship (e.g., H-1B) is not available for this position.
What You'll Need:
Education: Bachelor's degree in healthcare, pharmacy, pharmacy informatics, or an information technology field Experience: Minimum of 5 years or equivalent of demonstrated competency in a leadership role, managing people and processes Minimum of 5 years of Epic EHR Clinical information systems experience, with significant experience in a highly complex, academic medical center or integrated health care delivery system Deep experience with the Epic EHR modules, including Epic Willow Inpatient and Ambulatory, and leading Epic teams through implementation, stabilization, and optimization phases Extensive experience with pharmacy automation and dispensing technologies, supply chain and inventory systems, and central fill and distribution systems Experience leading digital transformation in a healthcare system 2-3 years of experience supporting and/or driving large scale, multi-level performance transformations with competing priorities and resource demands, including involvement with Community Connect Programs and Rural Health initiatives Experience with continuous process improvement and agile methodology Comprehensive understanding of the opportunities and challenges in deploying and enabling digital health solutions Sustained track record of successful information technology implementation and service delivery in complex healthcare organizations Ability to articulate a clear vision and strategy that aligns with corporate objectives, drives value creation, and inspires engagement at all organizational levels
