Description Summary The Specialist, Media Sales is a revenue-driving, client-facing role responsible for business development, account management, and sales execution across AMPP's integrated portfolio of media, conference, sponsorship, and digital products. The role owns key accounts and manages multiple product lines while actively developing new business across core verticals in alignment with AMPP's mission to advance materials protection, performance, and workforce development globally. This position requires a consultative seller who understands complex B2B environments, can navigate multiple stakeholders, and can position integrated media, sponsorship, and event solutions that deliver measurable ROI. The Specialist, Media Sales serves as a trusted partner to clients while collaborating internally across marketing, events, publishing, and growth teams. Required Skills & Competencies
TRAVEL EXPECTATIONS Expected travel is approximately 20-30%, including domestic and occasional international travel. LANGUAGE SKILLS Exceptional verbal, written, and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex technical and scientific concepts into clear, credible content for executives, industry professionals, volunteer leaders, and global partners. Demonstrated experience drafting and editing high-quality editorial content, strategic communications, and executive-level materials, and presenting concise, high-impact information to senior and international stakeholders. MATHEMATICAL & ANALYTICAL SKILLS Strong analytical and quantitative skills, including the ability to interpret budgets, forecasts, P&L results, and performance metrics related to publication revenue and engagement. Applies pricing, ROI, and trend analysis to evaluate performance, inform strategy, and optimize the publications portfolio. OTHER SKILLS & ABILITIES Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to evaluate complex information, manage competing priorities, and adapt in a fast-paced environment. Demonstrated effectiveness in cross-functional collaboration within a matrixed organization. Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM-related systems, with a high degree of professionalism, sound judgment, adaptability, and discretion when working with clients, internal teams, and external partners.
