Requisition Summary

The Instrumentation Intern will be responsible for assisting in the instrumentation of test trucks, collecting and processing test data as well as; coordinating with varies department/personnel, and submitting work orders at the Paccar Technical Center. The PACCAR Technical Center is a state-of-the-art facility dedicated to development and validation of Kenworth, Peterbilt and DAF semi-trucks. This internship opportunity is available forstudents who are currently pursuing an Instrumentation and Control Technology associates degree.

Job Functions / Responsibilities
  • Support tasks related to the configuration and collection of data using test control software
  • Install data collection instruments.
  • Ensure accuracy of test data for engineering analysis.
  • Assist with the calibration of accelerometers, pressure sensors and other devices.
  • Inform managers, peers and internal customers of work progress and issues.
Qualifications
  • Strong computer skills using Microsoft office products.
  • Strong mathematical skills, basic knowledge of electronics.
  • Ability to troubleshoot basic electronic circuits.
  • Ability to read and understand engineering drawings.
  • Effective written and verbal communication.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Flexible and willing to adapt to changing duties and activities.
Education

Currently enrolled in Instrumentation and Control Technology Associates Degree program or be enrolled in an AA degree program in a related technology.
