JOB SUMMARY:

At D4C Dental Brands, our mission is to help children achieve a lifetime of great oral health, and secure, timely access plays a critical role in this mission.

The IAM Operations Analyst is responsible for day-to-day identity and access operations across the organization. This role plays a critical part in ensuring the right people have the right access at the right time-while removing access when it is no longer needed.

In the near term, this role will have a primary operational focus on managing and stabilizing the organization's email Distribution Lists (DLs). This includes cleaning up existing lists, validating business ownership, maintaining accurate membership, and ensuring new hires and role changes are reflected correctly. This work is essential to restoring trust with business leaders and enabling future automation.

As this work stabilizes, the role will continue to support broader IAM operations, including user provisioning, access requests, privileged access workflows, audit support, and automation enablement.

The role will also assist the Service Desk in some Level 1 support as time permits within the DL and IAM workload.

EDUCATION/CREDENTIALS:

* Bachelor's degree in cybersecurity, computer science, information technology, or a related field - preferred not required

* Relevant certifications such as CIAM (Certified Identity and Access Manager), CIMP (Certified Identity Management Professional), or MS Identity and Access Administrator Associate (SC-300) - preferred not required

JOB RELATED EXPERIENCE:

* 2 - 4 years of experience in IT operations, identity management, service desk, or access administration

JOB-RELATED SKILLS/COMPETENCIES:

* Familiarity with IAM concepts and best practices

* Experience working with:

o User accounts and groups

o Active Directory and/or Entra ID (Azure AD)

o Ticketing or request management systems

o Auditing of appropriate access

o Distribution Lists

o Role-based access models

o Database concepts and relational databases such as SQL Server

o Microsoft Excel and Word

* Strong attention to detail and comfort performing structured, repeatable operational work

* Strong analytical skills

* Ability to communicate clearly with non-technical business stakeholders

* Willingness to follow defined processes while helping improve them

* Interest in growing toward more advanced IAM, automation, or security roles

* Experience supporting external audits or compliance activities - preferred not required

* Scripting and automation experience - preferred not required

WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Distribution List (DL) Management (Primary Near-Term Focus):

* Serve as the day-to-day operational owner for Distribution Lists across the organization until automation is implemented.

* Perform manual cleanup and normalization of existing DLs, including:

o Validating list purpose and usage

o Identifying and documenting a clear business owner for each DL

o Confirming appropriate membership and removing incorrect or outdated entries

* Work directly with business stakeholders to:

o Obtain membership criteria and ownership confirmation

o Resolve disputes or confusion about who should be included in specific DLs

* Maintain accurate documentation mapping:

o DLs to business functions, roles, locations, or applications

o Ownership and approval expectations

* Ensure new hires, transfers, and role changes are added to or removed from the correct DLs based on documented criteria.

* Support periodic DL audits and attestations to ensure lists remain accurate and defensible.

* Partner with IAM engineering and IT teams to:

o Prepare DLs for future migration and automation

o Identify patterns and gaps that should be addressed through automation rather than manual effort

General IAM Operations (Ongoing):

* Execute daily IAM operational tasks, including:

o User provisioning and deprovisioning

o Access request fulfillment through ticketing systems

o Administer user accounts and access privileges

o Involved in troubleshooting and resolving IAM issues

o User password reset assistance

* Primary Subject Matter Expert in provisioning of all IT access requests

o Maintain process for onboarding new applications

o Maintain Knowledge Base for application access instructions and broader IAM documentation and SOPs

o Provide IAM training to both IT and end users

* Enforce company policies and procedures related to identity and access management

* Assist with Privileged Access Management (PAM) operations, such as:

o Role assignments

o Time-bound access requests

o Evidence collection for audits

* Conduct access reviews, audits, and compliance activities by gathering documentation and validating access records in accordance with Cybersecurity SOPs and guidance.

* Coordinate across teams in Service Desk, Application Owners, Security, and IT Ops to ensure consistency and to escalate broken access issues or provisioning failures appropriately.

Level 1 Service Desk Support (Time Permitting)

* While DL & IAM execution will be the primary responsibility, as time permits this role will also support the D4C Service Desk in Tier 1 customer support tasks, including:

o Troubleshooting and Resolution: Tackle technical support issuesincluding initial hardware, software, network, and application troubleshooting.

o Incident Escalation and Collaboration: Collaborate and engage with Tier 2 support, engineers, and external vendors to assist in issue resolution, ensuring timely escalation and effective communication throughout the resolution process.

o Customer Communication: Manage user expectations and provide clear, professional, and timely updates, maintaining a customer-centric approach.

  • Distribution Lists are accurate, owned, and defensible, with fewer escalations and complaints from the business.
  • New hires and role changes are consistently placed into the correct DLs and access groups.
  • IAM operational requests are handled accurately, on time, and with minimal rework.
  • IAM data (groups, DLs, access records) is reliable enough to support audits and future automation.
  • Business stakeholders view IAM as organized, responsive, and trustworthy rather than a source of friction.
  • Existing Service Desk receives an uplift by offloading primary IAM & DL operations and by providing additional help on days with heavy Tier 1 ticket volume.
