The Role

At QuidelOrtho, we're advancing the power of diagnostics for a healthier future for all. Join our mission as our next Warehouse Inventory Control Analyst responsible for accurate inventory management, efficient warehouse processes, and safety leadership. This role requires SAP expertise, strong knowledge of warehouse operations, and the ability to create and maintain standard work documentation. The analyst will lead process improvement initiatives, champion safety within the warehouse team, and play an integral role in logistics planning and continuous improvement efforts. This position is located in Rochester, NY

Work Schedule: Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.; flexible scheduling may be required.

The Responsibilities

  • Maintain a safe working environment in compliance with OSHA and company standards.

  • Ensure proper handling and storage of hazardous materials when applicable.

  • Manage and maintain accurate inventory transactions and reporting within SAP.

  • Maintain accurate inventory records using ERP systems.

  • Develop and implement standard work documents to ensure consistency and efficiency.

  • Complete scheduled cycle counts and work with Finance.

  • Identify opportunities for improvement and lead initiatives such as 5S and lean practices.

  • Promote and enforce a culture of safety throughout the warehouse; collaborate with safety teams to implement improvements.

  • Support scheduling and coordination of transportation and shipping activities.

  • Train team members on warehouse best practices and safe operation of equipment.

  • Manage daily operations across three Raw Material warehouses.

  • Oversee inbound material receipt, inspection, and storage in compliance with regulatory standards.

  • Coordinate timely transfers of raw materials to FG distribution centers to meet production and customer demand.

  • Drive initiatives for automation and digitalization where applicable.

  • Monitor stock levels and collaborate with planning teams to prevent shortages or excess inventory.

  • Ensure adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and company SOPs.

  • Support internal and external audits by maintaining proper documentation and traceability.

  • Perform other work-related duties as assigned.

The Individual

Required

  • Associate's degree with a minimum of 5 years of warehousing experience .

  • Strong working knowledge of warehouse operations and management.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and data entry software.

  • Proven experience with SAP inventory management and warehouse processes.

  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

  • Knowledge of logistics and transportation planning.

  • Ability to create clear and effective standard work documentation.

  • Commitment to safety and continuous improvement.

Preferred:

  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in MS Excel.

The Key Working Relationships

Internal Partners:Incoming Inspection, Inventory Coordinator, Material Handler, QA, Engineering, Manufacturing and Facilities

External Partners:Suppliers, Carrier, and External Warehouse

The Work Environment

The work environment characteristics are representative of an office, manufacturing, laboratory, and warehouse environment and include handling of viral and bacterial hazards, potentially hazardous chemicals, as well as infectious or potentially infectious bodily fluids, tissues and samples. Up to 75% of time at desk, standing or sitting extended periods of time. Flexible work hours to meet project deadlines.

The Physical demands

Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the warehouse for extended periods. Frequent lifting, pushing, and pulling of materials up to 50 lbs. Comfortable working in varying temperatures and warehouse environments.

Salary Transparency

The salary range for this position takes into account a wide range of factors including education, experience, knowledge, skills, geography, and abilities of the candidate, in addition to internal equity and alignment with market data. At QuidelOrtho, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. The salary range for this position is $58,000 - $82,000 annually. QuidelOrtho offers a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance, along with a 401(k) plan, employee assistance program, Employee Stock Purchase Plan, paid time off (including sick time), and paid Holidays. All benefits are non-contractual, and QuidelOrtho may amend, terminate, or enhance the benefits provided, as it deems appropriate.
