Job Title: Quality Control Inspector

Job Summary:

Serve as the Quality Control Inspector (QCI) for DAWSON's Facilities Operations, Maintenance, and Support Services contract supporting the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) at Research Triangle Park (RTP), North Carolina. The Quality Control Inspector supports implementation of the Quality Control Program by performing inspections and reviews of work to ensure compliance with contract requirements, approved plans, specifications, and applicable codes.

Location: Research Triangle Park (RTP), North Carolina

Responsibilities:



  • Perform quality control inspections of facilities operations, maintenance, repair, and construction-related work.
  • Review plans and specifications for task orders prior to and during execution.
  • Conduct inspections during work performance and upon completion to verify quality of final product, code compliance, and conformance with approved work plans.
  • Identify deficiencies and coordinate corrective actions with site personnel and Quality Control management.
  • Document inspection results and maintain required quality control records and reports.
  • Support the Quality Control Manager in implementing and maintaining the Quality Control Program.
  • Interface with Government personnel, including the Contracting Officer (CO) and Contracting Officer's Representative (COR), as required.
  • Verify that corrections identified through inspections are properly completed and documented.


Required Qualifications:



  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience performing quality control inspections, including reviewing plans and specifications for task orders and performing final reviews of completed work.
  • Experience working with contractors to identify deficiencies and implement necessary corrections.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting facilities operations, maintenance, repair, and construction activities in commercial or industrial facilities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively interface with Government personnel.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently.


Additional Requirements:



  • Must be eligible to obtain and maintain access to EPA facilities.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States.
