Description

Network Health is seeking a Group Underwriting Assistant to support the underwriting team in the preparation and completion of new business analysis and annual renewal calculations and preparation. In addition, the Group Underwriting Assistant will support management and the team in preparation of presentations, training, data entry and other duties as assigned. Responsibilities will require the incumbent to learn principles of underwriting such as medical and experience rating models.

Location: Candidates must reside in the state of Wisconsin for consideration. With our hybrid workplace model, this position is eligible to work 3 days a week at your home office (reliable internet is required), and 2 days a week at our corporate office in Menasha.

Hours: 1.0 FTE, 40 hours per week, 8am-5pm Monday through Friday

Job Responsibilities:



  • Demonstrate commitment and behavior aligned with the philosophy, mission, values and vision of Network Health
  • Appropriately apply all organizational, regulatory, and credentialing principles, procedures, requirements, regulations, and policies
  • Prepare new business cases for the underwriters.
  • Prepare and complete annual renewal paperwork.
  • File and maintain underwriting files and folders.
  • Schedule meetings, prepare agendas, and communicate with the department.
  • In conjunction with other departments, provide feedback to help establish policies and procedures for all areas relative to underwriting i.e. application, enrollment, etc.
  • As assigned, represents departmental perspectives and needs on system development and process improvement teams.
  • Keeps abreast of Federal and State of Wisconsin laws and regulations, ensuring Network Health is in compliance with rating laws.


Job Requirements:



  • High School Diploma required
  • Secondary degree highly preferred

  • Experience in a group health insurance underwriting department preferred.



  • Wisconsin insurance license preferred but not required
