Job Description




As a Security Officer - Part-Time Bike Patrol in San Diego, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer supporting a commercial real estate location, you will conduct routine patrols of interior and exterior areas, stay visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and respond to concerns with calm, professional communication. You will build rapport with tenants and visitors while documenting observations and escalating issues as needed. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and contractors at a commercial real estate location by carrying out site-specific procedures and security-related protocols, and/or supporting emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and tenant concerns in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report issues to site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision as required.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of building common areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity, with working conditions varying by post assignment.
  • Monitor access points and controlled areas during patrols, verify credentials as required by site policy, and document unusual activity and/or maintenance concerns observed during rounds.
  • Complete daily activity reports, incident reports, and patrol logs with accurate, timely information, and communicate updates to building management and/or incoming officers during shift transitions.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have at least 6 months of security experience.
  • Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
  • Be comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
