Job Summary

#CA-DS

The Financial Analyst 2 is an experienced professional who performs a wide range of operational financial activities, serving as the School of Nursing's primary processor for high-volume, day-to-day transactions. The incumbent ensures all routine purchasing, travel, and payment activities are executed accurately and in strict compliance with University policies. This position provides essential, hands-on support to the Financial Analyst 3 and Supervisor, contributing directly to the daily operational success of the School.

Minimum Qualifications - For full consideration, applicants are encouraged to upload license and/or certification if required of the position.

  • Bachelor's degree in a related area (e.g., Finance, Accounting, Business Administration), or an equivalent combination of education and experience/training.
  • Minimum of two years of relevant professional experience in high-volume transaction processing, accounting, or finance administration, preferably within a large institutional or public sector environment.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in using Oracle-based financial enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems (Oracle-based preferred) for transactional processing (e.g., purchasing, disbursements)
  • Proven ability to interpret and apply complex policies (e.g., travel regulations, purchasing policies) to ensure transactional compliance.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills required to manage a high volume of time-sensitive financial documentation.
  • Basic to intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data organization and analysis.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in a higher education or healthcare setting.
  • Working knowledge of UC Davis financial systems (e.g., AggieEnterprise, travel systems).
