POSITION TITLE: District Sales Manager

LOCATION: Southwest District (California, Arizona, and Hawaii)

You are the individual who has excellent organization skills, exceptional negotiation and closing skills, and strong presentation skills. You have the ability to energize, develop, build rapport and relationships at all levels within an organization. As the District Sales Manager you are responsible to plan and carry out all sales activities on assigned accounts and areas of responsibility. Your determination to promote the complete line of Planmeca product sales through effective interaction with dental health professionals and organizations will increase the awareness and use of the company's products. You will be responsible for achieving maximum sales profitability, growth, and account penetration, within an assigned territory.

Summary of Duties:

  • Represent Planmeca and act as a primary customer point of contact in the allocated accounts/territory and coordinate service and support teams.
  • Achieve diagnostic imaging sales, core equipment, and casework sales as well as well as order volumes at the target prices in assigned accounts/territory.
  • Prospect for new customers and business in addition to growing and maintaining the existing customer portfolio, as well as qualifying new leads to maintain identified business and support a balanced sales funnel for future sales.
  • Attend tradeshows and participate in education and training conferences on selling and marketing programs.
  • Coordinate and assist in leading sales meetings and peer to peer events to include site selection and agenda preparation.
  • Assist dealer's representative in preparation of sales quotations, plan customer meetings, and demonstrate equipment and software capabilities on assigned products in assigned territory.
  • Ensure knowledge of and compliance with quality, regulatory, integrity and company policies
  • Daily travel required - Overnight travel 3-4 nights a week depending on territory.



MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Training and Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree and minimum 3 years of selling experience in a Business-to-Business sales role.
  • Previous experience in the healthcare or dental industry preferred.
  • Valid motor vehicle license required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are a must.
