Position Summary

The Manager - Project Principal provides leadership for a team which may include Senior Project Managers, Project Managers, Associate Project Managers and Project Coordinators. The Manager - Project Principal is accountable for the successful delivery of the most complex, large scale, multifaceted key initiatives and strategic projects within the MultiCare Health System in adherence with approved budget, schedule, scope, and quality standards. The incumbent works closely with executive leadership, external sponsors and other stakeholders on overall program direction and oversight of acquisitions, joint ventures and other strategic projects; serves as the subject matter expert for the process and project management and manages daily activities of project management team ensuring all project activities, from project initiation to closing are performed within the allotted schedules. Hospital-based leaders may have a dual matrixed reporting structure.

Requirements


  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or related field; Master's preferred
  • Certified Project Management Professional (PMP) from the Project Management Institute (PMI)
  • Minimum ten (10) or more years project management experience in a healthcare setting, or a combination of relevant experience demonstrating: strong operational leadership skills, healthcare knowledge and experience, and program management expertise leading complex organization-level initiatives
  • Minimum three (3) years of experience in a managerial consulting or supervisory capacity
  • Consideration may be given to internal applicants not meeting all requirements

Pay and Benefit Expectations

We provide a comprehensive benefits package, including competitive salary, medical, dental and retirement benefits and paid time off. As required by various pay transparency laws, we share a competitive range of compensation for candidates hired into each position. The pay scale is $123,198.00 - $177,278.00 USD. However, pay is influenced by factors specific to applicants, including but not limited to: skill set, level of experience, and certification(s) and/or education. If this position is associated with a union contract, pay will be reflective of the appropriate step on the pay scale to which the applicant's years of experience align.
