Here's what you will do:

  • Identify, evaluate, and develop low carbon hydrogen and ammonia business development opportunities.
  • Develop andmaintaina network of customer, industry, and government contracts across various industrial sectors and geographical locations throughout the U.S.
  • Develop andmaintaina business development screening model for application to potential new business opportunities.
  • Conduct initial assessments of potential opportunities todeterminesuitability for further development.
  • Present and make recommendations to senior management for potential business opportunities.
  • Propose potential low carbon developmentproject opportunities to customers, industry groups, and government bodies for consideration.
  • Participate in the negotiations of various agreements with potential customers and government bodies.
  • Lead, motivate, and direct teams to achieve successful outcomes in relation to the commercial opportunities being pursued.
  • Coordinate and drive alignment between technical execution and commercial groups to achieve successful projects.
  • Leverage technical and commercialexpertisetorepresentEnbridge in joint ventures related to hydrogen and ammonia opportunities.
  • Ensurea high level of communication is maintained with both internal and external collaboratorsthroughout the project development process.
  • Manage interaction with internal cross functional resource groups including regulatory, law, environment, safety, public affairs, communications and sustainability,landand other customer management teams.
  • Lead and coordinate the preparation of submissions to the board of directors or executive leadership team for the approval of new projectsand forproject updates.
  • Collaboratively resolvecomplex issues as they arise by applying broad business and specialized knowledge, making decisions on how solutionsimpactthe immediate issue and the company long term, finding opportunities,and having a keen awareness of interrelationships with other partners.
  • Make decisionsregardingsignificant standard practice deviations, includingtimelyescalation of high-risk issues to seniorleadershipincluding a fully developed plan to mitigate those risks.
  • Make decisions not usually subject to technical review, except those involving large sums of money or long-rangeobjectives.
  • Provide recommendations that havea highimpact on financial performance and teamefficiency.
  • Work with limited supervision to achieve broadly defined goals andobjectives.
  • Travel up to 10% to project locations throughout the US required.

Who you are:

  • Must have an MBA and Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, or a closely related field.
  • Must have seven (7) years of experience as a Process Engineer, or related role in the energy sector.
  • Five (5) of theseven(7) years of experience musthave includedprocess engineering experience related to hydrogen and ammonia production;business development or technical experience related to hydrogen, ammonia, and/or energy infrastructure.

Physical Requirements include but are not limited to:

Grasping, kneeling, light - moderate lifting (objects up to 25 pounds), reaching above shoulder, repetitive motion, typing, sitting, standing, visual requirement (able to see screens, detect color coding, read fine print), hearing requirement and the ability to sit at a computer for long periods of time.

Ability to: understand, remember and apply oral and/or written instructions or other information, understand complex problems and collaborate/explore alternative solutions, organize thoughts and ideas into understandable terminology, organize and prioritize work schedule on a short-term basis, make decisions which have moderate impact on the immediate work unit and monitor impact outside this area, understand and follow basic instructions and guidelines, complete routine forms, compose letters, outlines, memoranda and basic reports and communicate with individuals via telephone.
