Overview A postdoctoral research position is available in the laboratory of Dr. Wenqing Zhou, part of the newly established Division of Innate Immunity in the Department of Medicine at the University of Massachusetts Chan Medical School in Worcester, MA. Responsibilities We invite applications from highly motivated doctoral-level scientists interested in intestinal immunology and host-microbiome interactions. The Zhou Lab is dedicated to elucidating the cellular and molecular mechanisms that establish immune tolerance to the microbiota, exploring how dysregulation of these pathways contributes to diseases and disorders in the gut and beyond, and developing novel approaches to restore gut homeostasis and treat human diseases. Our research is supported by a prestigious NIH K99/R00 Pathway to Independence Award and generous startup funds from UMass Chan. More information can be found on the lab website https://zhou-group.org/ Qualifications Applicants should hold a Ph.D. in immunology, microbiology, or a related biomedical science. The ideal candidates will be technically proficient in immunological techniques and provide evidence of research productivity. Prior experience with flow cytometry and in vivo mouse models is advantageous, though not required. Applicants should send a letter (via email) describing their current research activities and their interest in this position, a CV (including publications), and contact information for three references, including your Ph.D. supervisor, by email to wenqing.zhou@umassmed.edu | |||||||||||||||||
