Could you be the full-time onsite Test and Commissioning Engineer in Tampa, FL, US we're looking for?

Your future role

"Take on a new challenge and apply your extensive engineering expertise in a new cutting-edge field. You'll work alongside dedicated and collaborative teammates.
You'll lead the testing and commissioning activities for railway signaling subsystems, ensuring compliance with standards, regulations, and customer requirements. Day-to-day, you'll work closely with teams across the business (Engineering, Validation & Verification, and Project Management), develop and execute test procedures, and provide technical leadership to resolve complex issues, and much more."

We'll look to you for:




  • Organizing T&C activities, including planning, access, resource allocation, and documentation. ,



  • Checking compliance of signaling systems against system specification documents and contractual requirements. ,



  • Developing T&C procedures for subsystems based on defined specifications to meet contractual requirements. ,



  • Leading deep troubleshooting of wayside/railway systems and equipment to identify and resolve root causes of failures and integration issues. ,



  • Interfacing with Engineering and V&V subsystem leaders to optimize site tests and resource allocation. ,



  • Providing technical leadership to teams for tools, procedures, and problem resolution. ,



  • Leading or participating in technical discussions with the customer while representing and protecting the company's interests. ,



  • Reporting regularly to the Project T&C Manager on progress, issues, and anomalies arising during site testing. ,



  • Ensuring all design-related issues are correctly reported in the appropriate tools, including defect descriptions and test context. ,



  • Guaranteeing that all tests are conducted with a strong emphasis on safety.

  • Degree in engineering technology or equivalent combined experience & technical education (electronics/electrical/computer/railway). ,



  • Experience or understanding of Installation, Tests & Commissioning (T&C) activities for signaling projects. ,



  • Knowledge of Alstom products and railway signaling systems. ,



  • Familiarity with test procedures, troubleshooting, and compliance standards. ,



  • A valid driver's license with a clean record. ,



  • Strong leadership, organizational, and prioritization skills. ,



  • Proactive mindset with attention to detail. ,



  • Flexibility and mobility, with availability to work at night, during weekends, and on public holidays. ,



  • Strong relationship and reporting skills with management and customers. ,



  • A team player with a rigorous and safety-focused approach.
