Your future role

Take on a new challenge and apply your railroad knowledge and expertise in a cutting-edge field. You will supervise all employees while planning dailytrainand switching operations consistent withAlstom's Safety Policy. You will also be responsiblefor reviewing,recommendingandimplementingoperations processes that maximize efficiency.As this position will also require accident investigations, the incumbent must be asafety-orientedindividual, ensuring safety is the number one priority.

We'll look to you for:



  • Being responsible for the overall supervision of all on-board crew members. This includes job instruction, training, evaluation, accidentinvestigationandwhen necessary, discipline.
  • Periodically rideregularly scheduledtrains todetermineemployees' compliance with rules and special instructions and to look for areas which maybenefitfrom increased attention.
  • Maintain the Company's program of operational tests and inspections as well as records of tests performed, the results of those tests and any associated required correspondence.
  • TheRoad Foreman/Trainmaster willbe requiredto perform these duties as well as such other duties as may be prescribed by the Chief Transportation Officerfrom time to time

  • Degree in Transportation Management, Business Administration, or a related field, is preferred.
  • 5years of experience; experience working with Title 49 CFR rules and regulations in the passenger rail industry or understanding of railway operations, including roles such as Dispatcher, Conductor, and Locomotive Engineer.
  • Familiarity with Federal Railroad Administration (FRA) and Department of Transportation (DOT) standards.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills.
  • Experience in managing complex administrative departments and assets.
  • Proven ability to coordinate and lead teams in high-pressure environments.
