What to Expect

TheMegafactoryTraining Team isseekinga highly motivated individual to support training initiatives at our Lathrop, CA location. The ideal candidate willbe responsible forcoordinating andfacilitatingnew hire training for all Lathrop employees, as well asproviding ongoing development opportunities for current team members. A strong background in production environments, paired with hands-on experience, is essential for success in this role. This position is hands-on and requires working directly on the production line in a manufacturing setting.

The successful candidate willdemonstrateflexibility, confidence, and the ability to communicate effectively across various organizational levels (Associates, Technicians, Managers, Engineering, etc.) to meet trainingobjectivesand goals. You will be expected to both challenge and be challenged, fostering an environment of creativity and innovation.


What You'll Do
  • Collaborate closely with the Tesla onboarding team to ensure a seamless transition into training, including scheduling,logistics, and communication. Maintain detailed tracking of new hires, managecertificationsand station assignments, and lead a team of workstation trainers for each respective shop. Be prepared to work lineside throughout your shift with associates to proactively assess training progress

  • Effectivelyallocategroupsto appropriate trainingprograms to prepare them for their roles. Continuously learn new process skills from engineering and shop process owners, staying up to date with the latest revisions in process operations. Provide cross-training to employeesonthe correct techniques

  • Communicate proactively with students, stakeholders, and managersregardingplanned and completed training, based on their needs. Work closely with production leaders to ensure training efforts align with business objectives

  • Maintain constant engagement with manufacturing, production leadership, technical writing, process engineering, and other departments to stay updated on the latest revisions of process operations. Able to navigate through JIRA, activelymonitoringand auditing ticket closure, engaging theteams on actions needed to close issues and can speak to closure rates week over week

  • Facilitate live training sessions on the manufacturing floor for new hires,existingemployees, and any other required training sessions.Able to mentor new facilitators, able to certifyon required safety courses, target trainings based on high failure rates, anddemonstratethe ability to simulate a hands-on environment for training that might not be able to be conducted on the line

  • Ensure the Learning Management System (LMS) isaccurateand up to date, reflecting the latestcourserevisions. MaintainaccurateVersatility Charts to properly track certification coverage across the factory.Able todemonstratea high senseof urgency to close certification gaps, able to speak to weekly and daily progress, andexecute self-certifications to provide a better training experience

  • Set clear expectations for new and existing hires in alignment with Tesla standards, ensuring they understand safety, quality, and efficiency requirements


What You'll Bring
  • Minimum of 2 years working in Tesla Production is a plus (Leadand/or Welderexperiencepreferred)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong presenter with passion tofacilitatelarge groups

  • Proficiencyin MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Demonstrates professionalism including communication, dress, and attitude while modelling the company's core values of integrity, collaboration, and getting it done

  • Proven ability to be highly organized with a strong attention to detail
  • Background or understanding of adult learning principles and Learning Management System (LMS) is a plus

    Expected Compensation
    $25.88 - $28.80/hour + cash and stock awards + benefits

    Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
