Basic Qualifications

Associate's degree or equivalent is required plus a minimum of 7 years of relevant experience.

CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Department of Defense Secret security clearance is preferred or obtainable within a reasonable amount of time after hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.


Responsibilities for this Position

Role and Position Objectives:

Qualifications

As a PCB Designer for Undersea Systems, you'll support CCA development for electronics used in high reliability undersea communication systems. We encourage you to apply if you have any of these preferred skills or experiences:

  • A minimum of four years' experience using Altium for PCB design.
  • Preferred candidates can work onsite in McLeansville North Carolina 3 or more days per week.

What sets you apart:

  • Experience with Altium Designer 27 or Altium IPC footprint and schematic generators
  • Experience with library management practices in Altium or Xpedition.
  • Knowledge of PCB layout tools from the Mentor Graphics suite (xDM, Xpedition. DXdatabook, BoardStation, Hyperlynx).
  • Experience with schematic capture in Xpedition and Altium is valuable.
  • 3D modeling in Solidworks, NX, or CREO.
  • Experience with Footprint Expert.
  • Circuit design and hands on prototyping experience.
  • Basic knowledge of IPC and manufacturing standards.
  • In depth knowledge of CCA fabrication techniques. Ability to communicate with suppliers when asked to provide clarification on design documentation packages.
  • Documentation capture including (bill of material parts lists, ODB++ digital fabrication packages, 3D model generation)
