LOGISTICS ANALYST (Basic)

LOCATIONS:
Huntsville, AL

SUMMARY: The Logistics Analyst will support the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) with acquisition planning, development, engineering and technical assessment, implementation, execution and management of the 12 IPS elements across the MDS portfolio and throughout the MDS Defense Acquisition Life Cycle. NOTE: This is a temporary position and ends on 09/30/26.

  • Provides technical and/or operational support to projects and programs.
  • Plays a role in overall functional planning

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Degree requirements: BA/BS in logistics acquisition, operation, sustainment and/or related field with 0 years relevant experience OR AA/AS in logistics acquisition, operation, sustainment and/or related field with 3 years relevant experience
  • Follows established procedures and solves routine problems
  • Experience working as an effective team member to assist in solution development and support of complex logistics problems
  • Demonstrate sound judgment to develop life-cycle logistics plans, procedures and documents
  • Demonstrate the ability to analyze statutory and regulatory guidance


ADDITIONAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES AND COMPETENCIES (Desired):

COMPUTER SKILLS:

  • Skill in operating a personal computer and standard office equipment


CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS, CLEARANCE:

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain an active DoD Secret security clearance
  • Active DoD Secret security clearance desired


PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Must be able to sit at a workstation for extended periods; use hand(s) to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear.
  • Most positions require ability to work on desktop or laptop computer for extended periods of time reading, reviewing/analyzing information, and providing recommendations, summaries and/or reports in written format.
  • May be required to occasionally lift and/or move moderate amounts of weight, typically less than 15 pounds.
