Germantown, WI 1st Shift, Mon - Fri 7am - 3pm 2nd Shift, Mon - Thurs 3pm - 1pm $17 - $24 BOE SUMMARY The Robotic Welding Cell Set-up/Operator is responsible for the daily setup and operation of a MIG welding robot in a fabrication shop environment to the customer's specifications concerning quantity and quality. He/she may be required to assist other operators as a helper on key work or machines as required; including housekeeping, maintenance work and material staging. Other duties may be assigned as necessary. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES * Operate manual and/or robotic welding equipment. * Read shop orders and engineering drawings to determine specifications and accurately complete all required functions. * Safely apply welds per specifications to produce completed product. * Produce assemblies of metal work pieces to quality and efficiency standards, including repetitive lifting and placing metal work pieces into fixtures. * Measure dimensions of metal work pieces to ensure conformance using calipers, micrometers, height gauges, templates, rulers, etc. * Perform quality checks as prescribed and report issues to lead and/or supervisor. * Accurately document and maintain information in written or electronic form. * Safety complete finishing functions such as grinding, sanding, etc. * Perform operator preventive or corrective maintenance on robotic systems, welders or components. * Develop robotic path motions to maximize efficiency, safety and quality. * Modify computer-controlled robot movements. * Adopt and incorporate quality methods into their work. * Ability to work independently. * Positive and Strong work ethic.
