GENERAL SUMMARY: Provides leadership in the coordination and delivery of quality compassionate patient care. Utilizes the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation to provide, delegate, supervise and document care and teaching of patients and family. Effectively communicates with the health care team. Demonstrates clinical competence. May require a professional certification which is a regulatory requirement in the State of Michigan or a documented community standard for the position, works independently and in collaboration with principal investigator when appropriate. We also offer a convenient on-site pharmacy. Internal Medicine Internists (doctors of internal medicine) are trained to treat many medical problems adults face. From minor illnesses to chronic diseases, they get to know your personal medical history and evaluate how you respond to treatments. Internists evaluate injuries and make sure you get important health screenings when necessary. They encourage lifestyle changes needed to preserve your health. Internists also manage the care of patients who have several medical problems at the same time. If and when your internist refers you to a specialist such as a cardiologist, endocrinologist or surgeon, he or she will oversee and coordinate your care -- all with your well-being in mind. Cross training provided 8 providers at this location 70%of position managing in basket, triage, communication with providers 30% of position BP check, titration, education Our department provides a supportive team environment with structured workflows while ensuring high-quality and efficient patient care. West Bloomfield MI 48322 (may be asked to provide coverage if needed in the Bloomfield Twp location) Hours: 9AM-5:30PM (no weekends, no holidays no on call rotation) Benefits: Full-Time Employee Benefits EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Graduate from an accredited school of nursing. Bachelor's Degree preferred. Successful completion of Henry Ford Ambulatory orientation. Must be flexible to support clinic Maintains and demonstrates current clinical knowledge in area of internal med/primary care. Clinical knowledge and analytical abilities necessary to formulate effective nursing care plans. Ability to perform a wide variety of professional nursing services. Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and medical group personnel. Basic computer knowledge and keyboarding skills. RN with primary care experienced preferred Triage experience preferred In-basket management and understanding of disease management and chronic care management required. Strong communication skills to support patient care. Knowledgeable in vaccinations. Understands hypertension, medication titration and patient education. Follows HF policies and understands the importance of evidence-based evidence that is expected for safe and quality care for patients and staff. Strong communication skills to support patient care. 3+yrs IPD/Primary care/ER experience required as a RN CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES REQUIRED: Current licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing as a Registered Nurse.
