General Description
The role of the Airport Information Technology Security Administrator is to develop, implement, and administer IT Security programs as it relates to compliance for the TSA Federal Mandates, Payment Card Industry, and IT Security Audits. This position provides management support for investigating and reporting breaches of security controls and implement responsive measures to ensure continued compliance.
Performs highly responsible administrative and technical work in the information technology security environment.
Works under administrative supervision, developing and implementing programs within organizational policies and reports major activities to executive level administrators through conferences and reports.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
Requires a Bachelor's Degree in information technology; or a Master's Degree in information technology.
Requires four (4) years increasing managerial experience in the administration of and application of information technology security or closely related experience.

The functions listed below are those that represent the majority of the time spent working in this job. Management may assign additional functions related to the type of work of the job as necessary.
Develops IT Security related strategies, policies and organizational responses to ensure deployment and maintenance of an information security architecture which meets current and future needs of the Aviation Department.
Provides information security advisement to Aviation operational technology contract administrators and vendors regarding security architecture and Cyber Security best proactive. Makes recommendations to ensure agency technology operations are compliant with TSA security standards and policies.
Administers risk assessments and information security training to uphold enterprise security measures and ensure compliance with TSA Federal Mandates and Payment Card Industry requirements.
Develops, manages, and maintains standard policies and procedures for technology security and activities at the Aviation Department, ensuring compliance with the TSA Federal Mandates and Broward County CAPP.
Provides management support for investigating and reporting breaches of security controls to the TSA and implements responsive measures to ensure continued compliance.
Provides ongoing training and informational meetings on the importance of maintaining appropriate security over information technology assets and current security issues for the airport.
Performs related work as assigned.
Develops strategies, policies and organizational responses to ensure deployment and maintenance of an information security architecture which meets current and future needs of County agencies.
Provides information security consulting to County agencies regarding security architecture, which could affect any part of the County's computing operations, and makes recommendations to ensure agency technology operations are compliant with security standards and policies.
Develops, manages, and maintains standard policies and procedures for technology security and activities within the County; establishes alternative security measures, if needed, to support disaster recovery efforts.
Provides management support for investigating and reporting breaches of security controls, and implements responsive measures to ensure continued compliance.
Provides ongoing training and informational meetings on the importance of maintaining appropriate security over information technology assets, and current security issues.
Administers management of critical issues that may affect customer agencies and completes status and statistical reports in assigned areas as required; develops and maintains Internet and Intranet security-based policies and procedures; administers risk assessments and information security training to uphold enterprise security measures.
Performs related work as assigned.
