Job Description

TheDTEMarketing Technology teamis playing a crucial role in enablingour commercial expansionas Vertexcommercializesintonew disease areas and bringsmoretransformative medicines to patients around the world.

As theMarketing Automation & Customer DataPlatform Lead,you willbe responsible forthe administration, optimization, and oversight ofour Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Marketo, Tealium andOneTrustplatformsandthe overall operations of this function. This is a critical platform function which drives the orchestration ofallour digital customer experiences.

As the platform and functional lead, you willbe responsible forimplementing new capabilities, driving solution architecture, evangelizing platform strengths, and guiding the translation of business requirements into technical deliverables. You will oversee the day-to-day operations of our technical development teams and ensure operational excellence. In addition, you will support acceleration of our digital engagement maturity andadvancingAI-powered marketing initiatives. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to support marketing efforts while ensuring technology solutionscomply withlegal and privacy guidelines in this highly regulated industry.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

  • Serve as Platformand FunctionalLead forSalesforce Marketing Cloud, Marketo, Tealium,OneTrustand ancillary platforms,providinginnovativeoversight and direction of ourmarketing automation platforms.
  • Overseeour Marketing Automation MSP development teamthroughout the overall software lifecycle, inclusive of platform implementations, operations,enhancements, upgrades,and integrationsproviding productand functional areaexpertiseand quality assurance, including leading technical design sessions, conductingfeaturedemosandoverseeingtesting asrequired.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to develop andmaintainaproductroadmap ofcurrent andfuture capabilitiesand support advancement of our digital engagement maturity
  • Supportbudgetmanagementand forecasting,inclusive ofplatform licensing,MSPcontractsand portfolioprojectswithin +/-5% oftargets.
  • Manage vendor relationships,contractsand service level agreements to ensure the highest quality of service and support isobtained.
  • Develop,measureandmaintainperformance metricsagainstaccelerated delivery,platform adoption,platform innovation, capability fit, capability/business fit/alignment and business valued delivered.
  • Provideeducationand support toplatform adoptersensuring effectiveand compliantutilizationofallMarketing Automation applications

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Strong understanding of marketingautomation, email marketing and customer dataplatforms and their integration with othercustomer engagement platforms (i.e.CRM)
  • Experience developing innovative product roadmaps, educating businessstakeholdersand driving technology adoption
  • Experience working within agiletechnologyoperations and deployingenterpriseglobaltechnologysolutions
  • Experience developing solutiondesign principals,processesand standards
  • Experienceleadingsolutionarchitecturedesignand the application of solution design to drive innovative digital customer experiences
  • Ability tochallengeideaswhilemaintainingcollaboration and pragmatism
  • Strongcommunicationskillswith the ability to translate complex technical concepts into simple terms
  • Ability tocommunicate business value derived from technology solutions
  • Experience deploying AI capabilities within marketing automation technologies
  • Ability to stay abreast of industry and technology trends
  • Strong time-management skillswith the ability to work independently
  • Ability to work in a dynamic fast-paced environment
  • Strong PowerPointand presentationskills
  • Experience with design visualization tools like Lucid Chart

Education and Experience:

  • Minimum of 8 years working inLifesciencesorother heavily regulated industry
  • Minimum8years of progressive experience inMarketing Automationfunctions with a focus on email marketing and customer data platforms
  • DemonstratedexpertiseinleveragingAI-powered marketing technologies to drive digital engagement and campaign performance
  • Strongtechnicalexperience withSalesforce Marketing Cloud,Marketo, Tealium CDP or similar enterprise-level applicationsisrequired
  • Experience guiding solution architecture on marketing automation platforms in heavily regulated industries.
  • Experiencemanaging offshore development teams and ensuring delivery excellence
  • Strong understanding of theGlobal PrivacyLandscape and global regulatory requirements (e.g.,CAN-SPAM, CCPA, HIPAA, GDPR, etc.)
  • Salesforce Marketing Cloud Admin CertificationPreferred
  • Tealium Platform Certification Preferred

Pay Range:

$170,400 - $255,600

Disclosure Statement:

The range provided is based on what we believe is a reasonable estimate for the base salary pay range for this job at the time of posting. This role is eligible for an annual bonus and annual equity awards. Some roles may also be eligible for overtime pay, in accordance with federal and state requirements. Actual base salary pay will be based on a number of factors, including skills, competencies, experience, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
