The International Treasury Ops Analyst supports global treasury and international accounting operations for Smithfield Foods. In this role, you will be responsible for key international finance activities, including reviewing and processing International Letters of Credit, assisting with wire coding for international offices, and supporting other international treasury and accounting functions. You will partner closely with internal teams and global stakeholders to ensure accurate, timely, and compliant execution of international financial transactions while supporting the company's broader global operations. Oversee International Accounting Operations: Review and approve International Letters of Credit (LCs), support wire payment coding for international offices, and perform additional global accounting activities. Analyze Letters of Credit: Conduct financial analysis for all International LCs, including fee tracking, reporting, and ensuring timely collection of LC-related payments. Manage Rotary Account Support: Provide end-to-end Rotary account support, including applying incoming payments, clearing AR, delivering aging reports, resolving credit/debit memo inquiries, and distributing all memos to Rotary. Audit & Compliance Support: Serve as a primary point of contact for internal and external auditors by providing required documentation, analysis, and technical support. Own Accounting Processes: Manage assigned accounting processes and perform routine and ad hoc financial analysis to ensure accuracy and compliance. Identify & Escalate Risk: Monitor account activity and escalate unusual transactions or material balances that may present financial or compliance risk. Support Month-End Close: Prepare journal entries and perform reconciliations to support timely and accurate month-end close activities. Validate International Accounts: Perform international account validations for new vendors and customers to ensure accurate setup and compliance with payment requirements. Process International Wires: Execute international wire payments with appropriate authorization, accuracy, and timeliness. Ensure Fiduciary Oversight: Provide fiduciary oversight for international offices (Mexico, Japan, and Colombia), ensuring adherence to internal controls and corporate policies. Drive Process Improvement: Participate in special projects and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and financial controls. Deliver Treasury Reporting: Prepare ad hoc reporting as needed to support Treasury Operations and leadership requests.

Education & Experience: Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university in Accounting, Finance, or a related field with 2+ years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Technical Proficiency: Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office tools, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word. Attention to Detail: Strong focus on accuracy, precision, and data integrity. Decision Making & Problem Solving: Demonstrated ability to analyze issues, make sound decisions, and resolve problems effectively. Proactive Mindset: Solution-oriented with the initiative to anticipate needs and drive improvements.
