Essential Job Duties
Duties Include:

  • Development of Taman quantitative PCR platform for the Genome Editing Center. This is a sophisticated piece of work to develop a high throughput molecular essay that all of the projects in the lab can use as a routine process linked to our databases and trailing system.
  • Development of an NGS analytical platform for analyzing DNA sequences routinely in the lab across projects
  • Working with a senior research scholar to develop binary vectors for plant transformation
  • Working across the genome sciences, Lab and Genome Editing Center to co-create multiple assay platforms, using two vendors, comparing costs, efficiencies, throughput, reliability, and user friendliness.

On site at the Plant Sciences Building located on NCSU's Centennial Campus.
