The Event Operations Assistant is a key member of the Hunt Library production team, responsible for the seamless execution of high-profile events within the Duke Energy Hall. This role blends technical Audio-Visual (AV) support with high-touch hospitality, ensuring that all physical and digital components of an event meet NC State University's standards of excellence.

Work Schedule Up to 29 hours per week; Rotating shifts between 7:00 AM - 1:00 AM; includes evenings, weekends, and occasional holiday hours

Minimum Experience/Education
Department Required Skills

  • Service Excellence: Proven track record of delivering superior customer service, preferably in a hospitality or technical production environment.
  • Technical Aptitude: Foundational knowledge of Audio-Visual systems and a willingness to operate complex production equipment.
  • Communication: Advanced verbal and written communication skills for effective coordination with diverse stakeholders and team members.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to maneuver, lift, and transport equipment weighing up to 40 pounds as required for event setup and breakdown.
  • Team Collaboration: A demonstrated ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team to serve a diverse global population.
