Job Summary:

Key Position Details:

  • 1.0 FTE (80 hours per two-week pay period)
  • 10-hour day/evening/night shifts
  • No weekends

Job Description:

Transports company property between maintenance facilities, hospitals, and/or clinics. Deliveries may include but is not limited to; supplies, patient records, lab specimens, and vehicle parts. Performs basic vehicle and property maintenance as needed.

Principle Responsibilities

  • Transportation and delivery.
    • May transport company information and records to an off-site location or sub-station.
    • May deliver company vehicles to and from company maintenance shop and regional/metro sub-stations.
    • May deliver vehicle parts needed immediately for vehicle repair.
    • May pick-up and deliver lab specimens between system campuses.
  • Maintenance.
    • Performs light grounds keeping duties such as snow removal, lawn care, drain and bathroom cleaning, sweeping, and furniture moving.
    • Completes basic vehicle maintenance such as lubrication of vehicle latches, vehicle jump-starting, tire changing, replacing vehicle light bulbs, and checking/replacing oil and fluid.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • Must be 18 years of age with education and/or experience needed to meet required functional competencies as listed on the job description

Preferred Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 0 to 2 years experience in delivery driving

Licenses/Certifications

  • Valid Class C driver's license or higher upon hire required (MN and WI residents must obtain a valid driver's license in their state of residence within 60 days of employment)
  • If working in Emergency Medical Services, valid driver's license only, required
  • Hazmat Certification required within 180 days
  • Valid Commercial Driver Medical Certification upon hire (not required for Emergency Medical Services)

Physical Demands

  • Heavy Work:
  • Lifting weight up to 100 lbs. occasionally, up to 50 lbs. frequently

Pay Range

Pay Range: $27.31 to $34.98 per hour The pay described reflects the base hourly pay range. Your starting rate would depend on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, your experience, education, and the union agreement (if applicable). Shift, weekend and/or other differentials may be available to increase your pay rate for certain shifts or work.
