Job Overview:

The Aging Division of the Department of Disability and Aging is seeking a Data Operations Analyst who can bridge programmatic insights with data-driven analysis to tell the story of the work we are doing to support older adults in Tennessee. This role requires a strategic thinker who can interpret complex data, identify trends, and translate findings into actionable recommendations that inform program decisions, budget planning, budget requests, and outcome measurement. The ideal candidate will be a skilled collaborator with the ability to see the big picture while delivering detailed, accurate outcomes. This position plays a critical role in demonstrating the impact of Aging programs and ensuring resources are aligned with the needs of Tennessee's older adult population.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Collect, analyze, and interpret data related to Aging programs, budgets, and outcomes.
  2. Develop reports and dashboards that clearly communicate program performance and impact.
  3. Provide data-driven insights to inform program improvements, budget decisions, and funding requests.
  4. Collaborate with program staff to understand operational goals and align data analysis with strategic priorities.
  5. Identify trends and patterns to support long-term planning and policy development.
  6. Ensure data integrity and compliance with state and federal reporting requirements.
  7. Present findings to internal teams, leadership, and stakeholders in a clear and compelling manner.

Minimum Qualifications:

Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Statistics, Public Administration, Social Sciences, or related field (Masters preferred). 3+ years of experience in data analysis, preferably in human services, aging, or healthcare programs. Strong proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau) and statistical software (e.g., Excel). Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights. Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across teams and with diverse stakeholders. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities. Required Experience 3+ years of experience in data analysis, preferably in human services, aging, or healthcare programs.
