Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Project Coordinator.

In this role, the successful candidate provides project, analytical and administrative support to the Medical Director of Clinical Affairs and the Faculty Group Practice. This role supports clinical and operational strategies focused on ambulatory quality, performance improvement, patient access, and patient experience.
As an integral member of the team, the Project Coordinator will work closely with FGP stakeholders and ambulatory/department-based leads to coordinate initiatives across practices and service lines, track performance metrics, prepare materials for leadership and governance forums, and ensure timely follow-up on action items.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Support the Medical Director in the planning, coordination, and execution of Clinical Affairs and FGP initiatives aligned with system priorities.
  • Provide high-level administrative support to the Medical Director, including calendar management, meeting scheduling, agenda and material preparation, and follow up on action items.
  • Manage correspondence, draft communications, and support document preparation on behalf of the Medical Director as appropriate.
  • Maintain organized files, trackers, and documentation related to Clinical Affairs and FGP initiatives.
  • Prepare briefing materials, summaries, and presentations for leadership meetings, committees, and governance forums.
  • Track and analyze key performance metrics (ambulatory quality measures, Press-Ganey) and collaborate with stakeholders on improvement efforts.
  • Support physician communication by drafting updates, coordinating messaging, and assisting with dissemination of clinical priorities, performance results, and practice changes.
  • Help organize and support physician forums, meetings, and working groups that promote engagement, shared learning, and a culture of quality, safety, and continuous improvement.
  • Act as a liaison between the Medical Director, practice administrators and other internal departments.
  • Manage and support special projects related to outpatient quality.

Minimum Qualifications:
To qualify you must have a Associates degree in a related field is required. Minimum of one (1) year experience in an office setting or the equivalent combination of education and experience. Strong communication skills including knowledge of grammar, spelling and punctuation, tact, diplomacy and interpersonal skills. Time management skills and ability to work well under pressure. Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and PowerPoint. Ability to multi-task and project manage. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a willingness to back up others.

Preferred Qualifications:
Healthcare experienced preferred

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $66,300.00 - $85,000.00 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
