| Position Summary |
Reporting to the University Librarian, the Innovation & Project Support Librarian is a collaborative, curious, and technology-forward member of the library team who supports student learning, research, and creative work across disciplines. This position inspires and equips students to harness technology for problem-solving and creative expression, helping to cultivate a vibrant campus culture of innovation and experiential learning.
The Innovation & Project Support Librarian provides instruction, research assistance, and project consultation; advises on technology selection and use; maintains and helps develop web and other library technologies; helps coordinate and maintain research and technology service points; and designs and leads skill-building workshops. Areas of engagement may include, but are not limited to, makerspace technologies, digital libraries and archives, library systems, and emerging tools and technologies.
While experience in all areas is not required, the successful candidate will bring a demonstrated willingness to continually learn, experiment, and collaborate in support of student and faculty success. |

| Required Education/Experience/Skills |
- Master's degree in Library and/or Information Science from an ALA-accredited program or equivalent.
- Candidates in the final semester of completing their degree by the start date may also be considered.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Knowledge of emerging technologies and their applications to learning, research, and creative work.
- Strong service orientation and commitment to student success and academic excellence.

- Experience planning, implementing, and leading instruction, skill-building, outreach, or engagement programs.
- Experience with web, graphic design, digital publishing, and/or multimedia technologies.
- Awareness of emerging technologies in higher education, including AI literacy.
- Familiarity with makerspace tools, digital fabrication, or creative technology applications.
- Experience with digital libraries, digital archives, or integrated library systems.
- Experience developing web-based instructional materials or multimedia learning objects.
- Ability to collaborate on project-based learning and interdisciplinary initiatives.
- Knowledge of information literacy frameworks and applications.
