Job Description

The Senior Product Manager will lead the strategy, roadmap, and execution for DDN's next-generation data platforms and drive media. This role is pivotal in defining how our platforms evolve to meet the demands of AI, HPC, and enterprise workloads at scale. You will work cross-functionally with engineering, marketing, sales, and customer success teams to deliver innovative solutions that drive performance, reliability, and simplicity for our customers. This is a senior-level role requiring deep technical expertise, strategic thinking, and strong business acumen.

Key Responsibilities:

Platform Strategy & Vision

    Define and own the long-term vision and roadmap for DDN's Infinia platform portfolio including 3rd party strategy.

  • Define and communicate the long-term hardware platform strategy including media and roadmap to support our software on premises.

  • Identify market trends, customer needs, and competitive dynamics to inform product direction.

Product Lifecycle Management

  • Drive end-to-end product lifecycle from concept to launch and adoption.

  • Collaborate with engineering to prioritize features, manage trade-offs, and ensure timely delivery.

Customer & Market Engagement

  • Act as the voice of the customer, gathering insights from key accounts and industry partners.

  • Analyze competitive trends, gather customer requirements, and drive platform innovation

  • Support strategic customer engagements and represent DDN at industry events.

Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Partner with marketing to craft messaging, positioning, and go-to-market strategies.

  • Enable sales and field teams with product knowledge and competitive differentiation.

Performance & Scalability Focus

  • Ensure platforms meet stringent requirements for performance, scalability, and reliability.

  • Drive innovation in areas such as AI infrastructure, cloud integration, and data management.

Metrics & Business Impact

  • Define success metrics and monitor product performance against business objectives.

  • Influence pricing, packaging, and profitability strategies.

Qualifications:

Experience

  • 10+ years in product management, with at least 5 years focused on storage, data platforms, or infrastructure products.

  • Proven track record of delivering complex, enterprise-grade products and solutions.

Technical Expertise

  • Strong understanding of storage architecture, distributed systems, and data-intensive workloads.

  • Familiarity with AI/ML, HPC, and cloud-native technologies.

  • Competency with NVIDIA AI Enterprise Software a plus

Business & Leadership Skills

  • Exceptional ability to translate technical capabilities into business value.

  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (MBA or advanced degree preferred)

Other

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.

  • Willingness to travel for customer and industry engagements.

Salary Pay Range for this role: $156,000- $234,000
