Job Description

Analyst will use their 5 to10+ years of experience in both IT networking systems, systems administration, and cyber security to establish and assess security within the networks and Information Systems. Candidate must have a thorough understanding of network and information technology process application.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.


  • Works onsite at either PORTS, PAD or LEX locations with travel to the other sites for assessments and technical reviews.
  • Establishes and enforces governance frameworks, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, contracts, and DOE requirements.
  • Identifies enterprise-level technical, operational, and compliance risks associated with system transitions and directs development of mitigation strategies.
  • Serves as a liaison between site leadership, technical organizations, compliance functions, and external stakeholders to align expectations and resolve issues.
  • Directs internal reviews, assessments, and audit preparation activities to verify compliance, security posture, and documentation integrity.
  • Provides regular reporting and strategic recommendations to senior leadership regarding transition progress, risk posture, and compliance status.
  • Demonstrates ability to get along with coworkers, customers and visitors.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.

    Education/Experience

    To qualify for this position, candidate must meet the following requirements: Must have a B.S. in Information Technology, Computer Science, Technical, or

    Engineering type Degree in Computer Science or Electrical/Electronics

    from an accredited school/university and a minimum of 5 years of experience. Over 10 years of experience may be evaluated to substitute educational requirements.

    It is a plus to have the following information technology experience: system/network administration and infrastructure design and maintenance, communicate with users, troubleshooting and repairing networks, configuration of wireless network systems, field engineering experience related to the actual deployment of technical systems, previous experience working on and developing IP-based systems, and knowledge of construction management and engineering documents.

    The following certifications are preferred: (CISSP), (CCNA), (CCSP), (RHCEL), CISA (Certified Information Systems Auditors), CISM (Certified Information Security Managers), PMP (Project Management Professional).

    Language Skills

    Ability to read and interpret documents such as operating and maintenance instruction and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees.

    Mathematics Skills

    Ability to calculate figures and amounts.

    Reasoning Ability

    Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions deals with abstract and concrete variables.

This position may require the ability to obtain a government clearance.
