Water/Wastewater Engineering Specialist

STV is seeking a professional Water/Wastewater Engineering Specialist to join our Water/Wastewater division in either NYC or White Plains, NY locations. STV specializes in the planning, organization, and development of engineering activities for the planning, design, construction and operations of water and wastewater facilities.

Responsibilities include:

  • Perform engineering duties in planning and designing of water and wastewater treatment, conveyance, and storage systems.
  • Development of contract documents including plans and specifications.
  • Perform hydraulic flow and pressure calculations.
  • Develop system curves for sizing and selection of pumps.
  • Water and Wastewater treatment process systems and equipment engineering and design support.
  • Support the development of construction cost estimates.
  • Interest and willingness to learn project management, client interface and business development of future projects.
  • Perform site visits during design to understand and document existing conditions, and inspect installation during construction..
  • Review contractor shop drawings and submittals for compliance with project design documents.

Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering from an ABET accredited University or NCEES equivalent.
  • Master's degree in Environmental Engineering is a plus.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in water and wastewater systems.
  • EIT Certification, required.
  • Ability to work and communicate well with others.
  • Possesses strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to seek technical input from water team members work collaboratively to advance projects.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Experience withAutoCAD, ArcGIS is a plus.

Participation in professional organizations, as well as committee involvement is a plus

Compensation Range:

$86,464.77 - $98,816.88
