ROLE OVERVIEW:

Our season kicks off in April and runs through November, with the possibility of extending into December. As a seasonal team member, you'll enjoy winters off to travel, hunt, fish, or pursue the activities you love-while still keeping your benefits all year long.

This position is responsible for operating and maintaining water trucks to control dust on projects and pits.

Typical schedule is Monday - Friday 6:00 AM - 7:00 PM, with Saturday as needed. Hours may vary depending on weather and customer demand.



    DUTIES AND/OR RESPONSIBILITIES (summary of components that make up the job)

    1. Safely and properly operate water truck to apply water within job specifications and needs
    2. Properly record gallons of water used to fill truck and source obtained
    3. Ensure proper permits are obtained for applicable loading sites
    4. Safely and properly perform maintenance on water truck.
    5. Perform daily equipment, walk around and site inspections to identify and correct any unsafe conditions and keep equipment properly maintained.
    6. Help and clean designated areas as needed
    7. Assist laborers or roller operators with dumping trucks, shoveling, flagging as needed
    8. Troubleshoot and problem solve situations/problems (material quality, equipment operation/repair, etc.).
    9. Monitor and discuss production problems with co-workers and managers/supervisors.
    10. Ensure OSHA, EPA, DNR, safety and environmental regulation compliance.
    11. Assist in loading and unloading equipment for transport, including load securement.
    12. Performs other duties as assigned.

    PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS (preferred requirements i.e. certifications, software use, etc.)



    1. Ability to work flexible shifts, including overtime and some Saturdays.
    2. Preference given for experience driving a belly dump, flow boy, lowboy, tanker or straight truck.


    MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS (minimum educational, experience, or other relevant job requirements)



    1. General education, grammar and arithmetic, GED or high school diploma or equivalent
    2. CDL Class B (straight truck) license in accordance with all state and federal DOT/FMCSA regulations.
    3. Must have and maintain medical card and acceptable driving record and required endorsements.
