Join our team as a Project Architect at Gorman & Company!
Gorman & Company is seeking a collaborative and detail-driven Project Architect to lead the design and documentation of multifamily and hospitality developments from concept through construction. This role plays a critical part in translating development vision into high-quality, buildable design solutions while coordinating closely with internal teams, consultants, and construction partners. What You'll Do
Lead architectural design and construction documentation for multifamily and hospitality projects from conception through construction completion. Coordinate project deliverables with development, construction, engineering, and consulting partners to maintain design quality and project alignment. Oversee building code analysis, unit layouts, specifications, and project scope development. Manage consultant coordination including structural, MEP, and specialty consultants, including historic and NPS-related reviews when applicable. Track project scope, design changes, and associated costs while supporting project budgets and schedules. Produce and manage construction-phase documentation including RFIs, change orders, and construction bulletins. Support marketing drawings and participate in project reviews to proactively identify and resolve design or constructability challenges.
What You'll Bring
Bachelor's degree in Architecture required; Master's degree preferred. Architectural license or active progress toward licensure required. Minimum five years of multifamily architectural design experience; affordable housing or LIHTC experience preferred. Strong proficiency in REVIT and working knowledge of AutoCAD. Experience working within the Atlanta market and surrounding areas preferred. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and competing priorities. Strong organizational skills with clear and effective communication abilities. Valid driver's license with ability to travel occasionally, including overnight stays as needed.
Compensation & Benefits
