Systems Reliability Engineer Washington, DC (hybrid) Salary: $165,000 per year MUST: Experienced System Reliability Engineer / DevSecOps Active DoW Secret Clearance 5+ years of experience in Systems Engineering and Systems optimization Strong expertise in DevSecOps methodologies including designing, building and operating reliable systems General programming experience with JavaScript/Typescript and Bash Proficient in AWS cloud services and engineering Proficient with Kubernetes management and administration Strong knowledge of AWS (CloudFormation, EKS, CloudFront, WAF, and related services) General understanding and experience with Azure is desired Understanding of security best practices and ability to implement NIST 800-53 in Cloud environments A deep understanding of HTTP performance and security Experience maintaining Infrastructure as Code (IaC) General knowledge of Linux Familiarity with the fundamentals of Agile project management Familiarity with traditional virtualization platforms Understanding and experience with STIGs is a plus Strong communication skills both written and verbal High attention to detail and good problem solving skills Strong documentation skills Relevant AWS and Security Certifications are strongly preferred Bachelor's Degree or 5 additional years of related experience is required DUTIES: Troubleshoot MySQL (MariaDB) databases deployed with services like AWS RDS and Aurora Cloud platform agnostic with a focus on AWS and Azure Ensure software updates are correctly deployed Manage and use the Git version control system Maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) Troubleshoot source code, identify, and correct errors using systems debugging tools Ensure all systems have broad useful instrumentation in place and develop monitoring systems that provide actionable alerts based on those metrics Make use of DevOps tools, such as Terraform, CloudFormation, Kubernetes, ArgoCD, and Git to write tools that automate everything you are responsible for. Build and maintain Kubernetes and cloud centric CI/CD pipeline Support full application lifecycle development by advising developers on how to provide stable and secure code Integrate traditional deployments with serverless platforms such as the Microsoft Power Platform Quadrant is an affirmative action/equal opportunity employer.
