Position Overview
| Primary Purpose of Position |
The Student Success Data Analyst collaborates with the Office of Student Success and Office of Enrollment Management teams by collecting, analyzing, and reporting data to inform strategic decision-making and enhance operational efficiency. The insights generated by this role will support strategic initiatives across admissions, financial aid, and student success.
This role is ideal for individuals with strong analytic skills, meticulous attention to detail, and a passion for leveraging data to improve student recruitment, admissions, retention, graduation, and overall enrollment outcomes.

| Primary Function of Organizational Unit |
The Student Success Analyst reports directly to the Vice Provost for Undergraduate Education and Student Success with a dotted line report to the Senior Data Analyst, Director of EM Organizational and Strategic Analytics.
The organization advances institutional student success priorities by using data, analytics, and evidence-based practices to inform decision-making, improve retention and graduation outcomes, and enhance the overall student experience. Through collaboration with academic and administrative units, the organization develops, maintains, and analyzes student success metrics, dashboards, and predictive models that support early identification of at-risk students, evaluation of interventions, and continuous improvement of programs and services. The organization plays a critical role in strengthening a culture of data-informed planning, accountability, and equity across the institution. |
| Minimum Requirements |
- Bachelor's degree in analytics, statistics, education, or social sciences with an emphasis on attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Curiosity and a continuous improvement mindset
- Strong interpersonal skills for cross-departmental collaboration
- Ability to manage multiple priorities
- Appreciation for varied perspectives and backgrounds reflecting the communities we serve.

- Bachelor's degree in analytics, statistics, data science, education, social sciences, information systems, or a related field.
- Master's degree in data analytics, higher education, educational research, statistics, public administration, or a related field preferred.
- Experience working in Higher Education.
- Experience with Ellucian Banner.
- Experience with Slate CRM.
- Experience with EAB Rapid Insight: Veera Construct, and Veera Predict.
- Experience building interactive dashboards in Tableau.
