What you will do:

The Senior Corporate Counsel provides strategic legal counsel to Wacker Chemical Corporation and its affiliates with a primary focus on procurement, logistics, real estate, and customs matters, while also supporting sales, quality, corporate governance, and general commercial activities. This role leads legal support for complex sourcing structures, directprocurement and supply agreements, and endtoend supplychain operations, including legal support of U.S. import and export compliance. The Sr. Corporate Counsel partners closely with business stakeholders to enable commercial objectives, manage risk, and ensure compliance across domestic and international transactions.




  • Serve as lead counsel for procurement, supply chain, logistics, and commercial matters, providing legal support for large and complex projects while managing multiple tasks and subprojects
  • Draft, review, negotiate, and interpret domestic and international commercial agreements, including procurement and supply contracts, vendor and logistics agreements, sales and distribution agreements, master sales and services agreements, leases, licenses, real estate agreements, and quality agreements
  • Support strategic procurement and operational activities through contract guidance and risk analysis
  • Provide legal guidance on contract interpretation, warranties, remedies, and dispute related issues
  • Support US customs laws, foreign trade zone (FTZ) compliance, tariff classification, recordkeeping, and compliance reviews.
  • Provide legal support and guidance on utility, energy and infrastructure-related agreements
  • Provide legal support and guidance on corporate governance and intercompany agreements.
  • Cost-effectively partner with and manage outside counsel as necessary
  • Keep legal and leadership teams apprised of major developments in ongoing matters
  • Provide training, process improvements, and strategic guidance to manage risks and improve business functions
  • Assist in developing and overseeing the implementation of legal and corporate policies and procedures with members of business and leadership teams
  • Support Legal Department attorneys in advising on legal issues, disputes, and special projects, including working closely with the Global Legal team
  • Drive efficiency in legal services with approved AI and other digital tools



What we need from you:



  • J.D. degree from a top-rated, accredited U.S. law school and licensed to practice in at least one U.S. state
  • 6+ years' experience in commercial legal work focusing primarily on commercial matters including procurement/logistics/customs contracts and related issues, as well as sales contracts; some in-house experience preferred
  • Commercial and manufacturing industry familiarity, regulatory, general in-house experience and cross-border contracting, strong drafting and negotiation skills
  • Ability to travel less than 10%

  • Detail-oriented and able to prioritize and manage multiple projects and/or issues
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Capable of adapting to organizational culture and assimilating into local, regional and global styles
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to make decisions, with the flexibility to quickly learn new areas of law where required.
  • Ability to advise and interact with executives and business segment managers with confidence, and to analyze and translate legal principles into practical business solutions, as well as establish a rapport and working relationship with business managers
  • Proactive and decisive, with the ability to learn quickly, work independently, and influence others while maintaining highest level of integrity and professionalism
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite -Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Experience with AI tools to drive efficiency in legal services
