Description

The Senior Accounting Systems Analyst will directly oversee the Oracle Cloud Application administrative functions, as well as any other tasks with associated/integrated systems for financial reporting of Actuals, Budgets and Forecasting needs. This role leads the month end close work from the financial system perspective, as well as possesses ownership of allocations and dashboards for Senior Management.

Duties and Responsibilities


Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Responsible for all the Oracle Cloud Administration Tasks assigned, as well as software maintenance and updates.
  • Responsible for the ownership of all allocation methodologies and processes in Oracle Cloud Application, including rule building, maintenance, and documentation.
  • Responsible for reviewing allocation results; work with leaders to ensure the department-by-department and line of business methodology remains current and reflects activity-based costing.
  • Provides end user assistance and training to ensure the continued smooth transition to the Oracle Cloud Application platform.
  • Assists in the preparation and management of monthly financials and dashboards that are provided to Senior Management.
  • Assists in the preparation and analysis of the monthly financial close and any external reporting needs.
  • Responsible for working with all functional business areas to confirm, adjust, and understand their departmental percentage of costs to be classified as Claims Adjustment Expense and Care Coordination categories.
  • Documents existing business flows, system setups and integration to other systems.
  • Assists in other operational and improvement and implementation projects, as required.
  • Acts as a liaison to external auditors and actuaries.
  • Participates in cross-functional team meetings.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Required:



  • BA/BS degree in Computer Science, Business, or Accounting or equivalent combination of professional education/experience in lieu of a degree
  • Minimum of five (5) years of relevant professional experience
  • Advanced knowledge of Oracle Cloud Application and systems integrations
  • Working knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and Statutory Accounting Principles
  • Ability to meet deadlines and effectively manage multiple tasks/projects with competing complexity levels, priorities, and deadlines
  • Ability to analyze procedures and recommend changes to remove non-value-added processes on an ongoing basis
  • Able to recommend/seek out solutions and implement process/job design improvements
  • Independent work style, highly motivated, self-starter, takes ownership of project/work
  • Ability to communicate ideas or information to all levels of management
