MRR Health, Physics, & Safety Job Description
The University of Missouri Research Reactor (MURR) seeks a dynamic Laboratory Safety Professional for the MURR Health & Safety team to grow and develop a strong laboratory safety culture. This position will help our safety team meet its mission to protect the health and safety of our coworkers and the public while maintaining a versatile yet conservative approach. The successful candidate will take an innovative and proactive approach to safety and pay sharp attention to detail. Position Summary The Laboratory Safety Professional will report to the Senior Manager - Health and Safety to ensure that research and production operations are conducted safely and efficiently. This will include compliance with federal, state, and local laws and regulations, as well as university policies. The position will work closely with MURR staff and a newly formed Health & Safety team to ensure all environmental health and safety needs are addressed. This position will:
Duties and responsibilities:

Monday - Friday, 8AM to 5PM. Some planned variance in schedule may be required, details will be discussed during interview. Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 2 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary. Preferred Qualifications
* At least 5 years of experience in a laboratory/University Environmental Health & Safety setting. Anticipated Hiring Range
