What You'll Do

The Sr. Marketing Manager for ELA K-6 leads the planning, creation, and execution of marketing strategies that support HMH's Core and Supplemental revenue goals for K-6 edtech solutions.

In this role, you'll lead national go to market campaigns and drive sales support and customer engagement strategies. You'll work closely with partners across sales, product management, services, product development, growth marketing, events, samples, and other customer facing marketing teams to successfully bring ELA K-6 solutions to market.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute solution based marketing plans twice a year.
  • Serve as the subject matter expert for ELA K-6 core and supplemental solutions, supporting both internal teams and customers.
  • Create clear, compelling customer facing and internal sales materials and training aligned to market needs and competitive positioning.
  • Conduct competitive research to strengthen messaging and validate market positioning.
  • Manage the full ELA K-6 product sample strategy, including inventory and supply chain coordination.
  • Partner with centralized marketing to support multi channel campaigns from awareness through renewal.
  • Apply knowledge of district adoption and procurement processes to support state, local, and RFP campaigns.
  • Clearly communicate how HMH ELA solutions align with state, local, and RFP requirements to improve win rates and maintain customer interest.
  • Ensure all ELA K-6 sales assets in SalesHub are accurate, relevant, and up to date.
  • Support and engage with Salesforce Chatter ELA K-6 channels.

What You'll Need

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Over 3 years of professional experience in marketing, edtech, or sales roles within education or related industries.
  • Strong understanding of the elementary literacy market.
  • Knowledge of digital marketing and experience building relationships with educators, customers, and prospective customers.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft tools including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, and Microsoft Copilot (or similar generative AI tools).
  • Experience with Adobe, Camtasia, Canva, and social media platforms.
  • Experience with Salesforce, Smartsheet, Tableau, and Mural is a plus.
  • Collaborative team player who values relationship building and can adapt quickly in a fast paced environment.
  • Strong multitasking abilities and passion for education.
  • Self starter who takes initiative, owns their work, and consistently meets deadlines.
  • Creative, independent thinker with a problem solving and solutions oriented mindset.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly and persuasively present solutions to internal and external audiences.
  • Strong collaboration and cross functional partnership skills.
  • Excellent project management, organization, and writing skills.
  • Approximately 10% travel.

Salary range: $75K - $95K
