About The Role

Summary

Directly manages a team of Compliance Officers in their day to day roles. Areas of focus may include Lending, Deposits, Marketing, Quality Assurance and/or Acquisitions. Responsible for review of regulatory compliance activities, coordinating the Bank Division's compliance-related programs, consultation with management and/or department heads regarding compliance issues, monitoring of new legislative/administrative developments and work on special compliance projects/initiatives. Position provides training and leadership to Team regarding compliance review and reporting.

This is a Corporate position which may be located at an available bank division location across our nine-state footprint in AZ, CO, ID, MT, NV, TX, UT, WA, or WY. All compensation offers are analyzed individually and take into consideration multiple factors including but not limited to geographic location, years of experience, and educational background.

WA Applicants ONLY range: $127,612.84 to $191,419.26 a year.

Description

  • Directly manages a team of Compliance Officers in their day to day roles.
  • Review reports and work papers of Team and recommend edits and ensure rating is appropriate.
  • Assist in Managing the Compliance Management System.
  • Ensure Management receives reports and feedback to enable them to adequately manage compliance with state/federal laws, regulations, and regulatory standards affecting deposit and lending products as well as other operating functions.
  • Work on global initiatives and special projects as needed.
  • Partner with senior Glacier and Division leadership to achieve positive results.
  • Serve as an informational resource and provide support as requested or determined necessary for Divisions.
  • Monitor and interpret regulatory and legal news and guidance. Disseminate information to Glacier Bancorp Management, compliance personnel and other personnel throughout the organization as appropriate.
  • Work with Corporate Training Coordinator to ensure Divisions are receiving appropriate training.
  • Serve as a central source for federal and state examiners and auditors during the process of examinations and audits for GBCI and Divisions.
  • Develop strategic risk assessments for compliance programs and assist in maintaining procedures to mitigate risk.
  • Must comply with all company policies and procedures and all applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, and the Office of Foreign Assets Control. Must complete the assigned online training courses and achieve a passing score by due date.

Will have or be willing to pursue a Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager (CRCM) Certification. Once the certification has been obtained, will be committed to a program of continuing education and further professional development.

  • A significant level of trust, credibility and diplomacy is required. In-depth dialogues, conversations and explanations with customers, direct and indirect reports and outside vendors can be of a sensitive and/or highly confidential nature. Communications may involve motivating, influencing, educating and/or advising others on matters of significance.
  • Knowledge in the following banking areas; Credit, Deposits, Bank Operations, CRA and Privacy. Basic knowledge of Mortgage underwriting including FHA, VA, RD, and secondary marketing.
  • Sufficient banking, organizational and technical skills to manage the compliance management system within the holding company and Divisions.
  • Ability to communicate, both orally and in writing, with others in the Bank to perform effective reviews and to report the results.
  • Analytical ability oriented toward feasibility and cost considerations.
  • Good problem-solving skills and the ability to react quickly to arising problems.
  • Familiarity with the lending process.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.

Occasional travel required: (less than 10 days per year) by automobile (as driver and passenger), commercial airlines, rental vehicles and public transportation and be able to lodge in public facilities.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS: Starting salary is dependent upon relevant experience and may vary based on the geographic location of the position.
