Summary of Job Duties:The Instructor of Entrepreneurship will teach undergraduate and graduate courses in the entrepreneurship curriculum and serve as a champion for the program. We seek a candidate with significant experience mentoring and coaching student entrepreneurs and connecting them with local entrepreneurial resources. Experience working directly with entrepreneurs is strongly preferred, and an entrepreneurial mindset is essential for helping students engage with Little Rock's growing entrepreneurial ecosystem. The university expects instructional excellence and professional engagement consistent with AACSB accreditation standards. This position is governed by state and federal laws and agency/institution policy. Qualifications:

Required Education and/or Experience:

  • Master's degree from an AACSB-accredited institution;

  • Professional work experience in industry or entrepreneurship.

Preferred Education and/or Experience:

  • Ph.D. or D.B.A. degree in Management with an emphasis in Small Business and Entrepreneurship or related area from an AACSB-accredited school.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Teach both campus and online courses in the undergraduate and graduate programs;

  • Mentor and coach student entrepreneurs through business idea development, validation, and launce processes;

  • Integrate into the regional entrepreneurial communities and organizations;

  • Develop and maintain relationships with the regional entrepreneurial ecosystem;

  • Connect students with local entrepreneurial resources, including incubators, accelerators, angel investors, and mentors in the Little Rock area;

  • Support or coordinate experiential learning opportunities such as pitch competitions, business plan competitions, or startup weekends;

  • Advise student entrepreneurship clubs or organizations;

  • Participate in Department, School of Business, College and University service;

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Ability to provide instructional excellence in undergraduate/graduate courses in areas of specialization;

  • Committed to remaining current in the area of expertise and instruction;

  • Ability to teach online;

  • A planned research agenda consistent with expectations of an AACSB-accredited program;

  • Interest in participating in student-centered service activities.
