What You'll Do:

  • Claim Resolution & Follow-Up: Independently manage and resolve outstanding claims; investigate denials to identify root causes (insurance, coding, payer).
  • Payer Policy & Appeals: Apply payer knowledge (VA, Tricare, Medicare, Medicaid, Commercial) for next steps; generate clear insurance appeal letters.
  • Analysis & Improvement: Identify denial trends for billing improvements; utilize medical terminology and basic ICD-10 to resolve denied claims.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Three (3) years of professional experience in the healthcare industry, with emphasis on medical billing, patient registration, or collections.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of healthcare revenue cycle and billing procedures.
  • Ability to meet and exceed production goals related to claim resolution.
  • Proficiency in navigating payer portals and conducting claim research.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Time management and organizational skills suitable for remote work.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel).
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Ability to maintain a secure and confidential remote workspace.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • Experience with AMD or Change Healthcare systems.
  • Ability to communicate complex claim issues and collaborate with leadership.

Benefits Statement: Selected candidate will be eligible to participate in the Company's employee benefit plans, which currently include: health insurance; dental insurance; vision insurance; optional supplemental medical insurance; health savings and flexible spending accounts; company-paid life insurance and additional voluntary life insurance; company-paid short term disability and long term disability insurance; participation in a 401(k) savings and investment plan with company contribution; and paid time off for non-exempt salaried employees is calculated as .625 per pay period worked for vacation time and .29166 per pay period for personal time. Full-time exempt employees will be eligible for Flex-PTO, which allows time off without accrual. If applicable and required under state law, the successful candidate will also be eligible for paid sick leave. These benefits are subject to plan terms, company policies and are subject to change.
