DEKA is seeking iOS Engineers to help us deliver the next generation of mobile medical experiences for our products. Our team is working on breakthrough medical technology which dramatically improves the lives of patients around the world.

How you will make an impact:

  • Help design mobile medical user interfaces including screens and logical workflows
  • Develop software requirements at all levels, from high level functionality to unit-level requirements
  • Participate in architecture, detailed design and code reviews
  • Implement required functionality
  • Support user-testing with target populations, including human factors validations
  • Develop and implement test strategies and detailed testing to drive a high quality product experience
  • Support other team members towards these and other broader program-level goals

To be successful in this role, you will need the following skills and experience:

  • Bachelors in Computer Science/Engineering
  • 5+ years development experience
  • Proficiency with object-oriented design and programming skills with Swift or Kotlin (at least 1 years of professional experience)
  • Previous embedded developmenta plus
  • Experience with SwiftUI, iOS's Core Bluetooth library and Apple development tools
  • Strong understanding of iOS design patterns and Apple's Human Interface Guidelines
  • Experience in following best practices in writing reliable and maintainable code that may be used by many other engineers
  • Experience with writing software design and architecture documentation
  • Experience with XCTest frameworkfor test automation
  • Understanding of Agile principles of continuous integration
  • Understanding of multi-threaded development
  • Experienced with GIT source control management
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Medical product development requires excellent documentation skills

This position involves day-to-day interactions with a fast paced collaborative development team. This requires working onsite; it is not a telecommuting position.
