Staff Accountant - Hybrid Contract Role

We are looking for a Staff Accountant for our client, a prestigious capital markets firm located in midtown NYC, on a temporary basis. This contract role is hybrid onsite 3 days a week and will have a duration between 6-9 months.

• Perform daily and monthly accounting tasks, including journal entries, reconciliations, and account analysis.
• Assist with month-end close and preparation of financial statements.
• Support accounts payable/receivable processes and expense reporting.
• Ensure accuracy and compliance with internal policies and GAAP standards.
• Collaborate with the finance team to maintain smooth operations during the coverage period.

• Bachelor's degree or higher in accounting, finance, or other related fields
• 1+ year of relevant accounting experience
• Qualified applicants must reside in the continental U.S.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States now and in the future. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
