As a Security Officer - Hospital Patrol Part-Time in Orlando, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and remain highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will support access control, assist staff and visitors with clear communication and customer service, and help maintain smooth operations in vaccine-related areas. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with de-escalation and timely notification of site leadership and/or emergency services as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random foot patrols of buildings, corridors, parking areas, and the perimeter, observing for unusual activity, unsecured doors, and/or hazards and reporting concerns per post orders.
  • Monitor access points and visitor flow as assigned, supporting check-in processes, directing individuals to appropriate departments, and/or assisting with wayfinding while maintaining a professional presence.
  • Document patrol activity, incidents, and/or service calls in written reports and logs, and communicate relevant information during shift briefings and handoffs.

Minimum Requirements:

  • This position is in a hospital environment where vaccines are required.
  • Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
